Today’s Flash Back Friday picture is of my son on his first day of preschool in the of Fall of 2011. We had just celebrated my daughter’s first birthday and I was pregnant with my 3rd child (even though I didn’t know it yet). This day, my first born child’s first day of school was a big deal. I cried the entire way home even though he never shed a tear. It was hard letting go.
My daughter will be attending the same private preschool, her 1st day of preschool is next week. We went to her “meet & great teacher night” last night to get her acquainted with her classroom, her teachers and her fellow students. I asked her this morning if she was excited about school, about learning new things and about making new friends. Out of the blue she said to me “I’m not going to miss you mommy”. But I know I’ll miss her.
