Disney Interactive just released the second behind-the-scenes video in the “Creating Infinity” series. This 2nd video installment focuses on the inspiration of The Toy Box mode. Complete with commentary and interviews from Pixar and Avalanche Software creative visionaries. Interviews of legends  John Lasseter and John Blackburn discuss their nostalgic memories of creative play as children and how those memories shaped Disney Infinity.

The Toy Box is a modern, digital form of what you had as a kid and inside the Toy Box mode is your chance to create your own journey. Inside the Toy Box mode, characters from across the Disney/Pixar fields meet, play and interact with each other. However, there is no structured game play at all. It’s about playing and creating and seeing what each toy can do.

Disney Infinity will be released in August of 2013 and will evolve the gaming community into more creative play and expression. I cannot wait!
