In the Fall of 2013, my youngest son dropped my computer on the ground and the nasty fall broke my hard drive losing almost 6 months worth of pictures. Thousands and thousands of pictures. In those pictures that were lost were all of our 2013 summer adventures, my daughters amazing 3rd birthday, the last day of Kindergarten, the first day of 1st grade, Halloween, Thanksgiving and so on and so on and so on. I still have the broken hard drive but I am sure all is lost. I haven’t taken it upon myself to take it in somewhere to try and recover everything I lost. Perhaps it’s just better not knowing.
I am thankful for Instagram and Facebook for the few pictures I have from those lost months. I may not have all of the pictures but I do still have the best of them.
This one from Venice Beach is perfect. Life isn’t fair, but there is always a reason to smile.
