Flagship Cruises and Events Champagne Sunday Brunch Cruise

Flagship Cruises and Events Review

Set Sail, in Luxury

Downtown San Diego bay is one of the most picturesque places in Southern California and there is no better way to soak up the Southern Californian sun like a luxurious, delicious brunch cruise around the bay. Flagship Cruises & Events, a San Diego Harbor Excursion luxury brand that has been around since 1915, is a locally and family-owned yacht charter, cruise and events company featuring a premier fleet of high-end yachts. They offer several San Diego harbor excursions from whale watching, thrill rides, to gourmet prepared dinner cruises and bountiful buffet brunch cruises, yacht and boat charters and even fairy tale weddings. My husband and I enjoyed a champagne Sunday brunch cruise as an early birthday treat, all opinions are my own.

A Two-Hour Cruise

Flagship cruises offers a ultimate luxury yacht experience in the San Diego bay with the most gorgeous array of Sunday brunch food. The two-hour brunch cruise travels around the beautiful Downtown San Diego bay while you stuff your face gourmet buffet, drink complimentary bottomless champagne mimosas and listen to live music all while soaking in gorgeous views of the harbor.

A Keepsake From A Perfect Sunday Morning

Each group is invited to take a picture before boarding on the Flagship Cruises and Events champagne Sunday brunch cruise for a souvenir picture that is available for purchase later on during the cruise. Since my husband and I attended for my birthday treat, we had to purchase our keepsake picture. It’s now on our fridge and the kids love (laughing at) it.

Very High Expectations: Met

Not knowing what to expect from the Flagship champagne Sunday brunch cruise, but having very high expectations – I have to say that I was completely impressed with the food, the personal service and luxurious quality of the yacht. It was truly a wonderful experience that I am so very happy to have had with my husband. Every person on the boat from our waitress, to the bartenders to the chefs were kind, friendly, professional and courteous. The food was amazeballs, the endless mimosas had me smiling and the ride around the bay was superb.

Upon boarding the yacht groups are seated at numbered tables. We were seated at a table with a family of four and a couple, they were all very friendly and we chatted about the weather and mortgage rates (random I know). The champagne mimosa’s started flowing and we started eating and before I knew it we were cruising around the bay. I liked that we were able to enjoy our brunch before the cruise really began because my husband and I enjoy being outdoors.

The Food

The buffet centerpiece was certainly the gorgeous fresh chilled Pacific Seafood Station. I have never seen such a display of fresh seafood before, I was quite literally blown away. With choices of sushi, shrimp, oysters, crab, caviar, several salads and antipasta and so much more it was hard to stay away.

Besides the gorgeous Pacific Seafood Station, there was also a old town taco bar station, chef attended carving station, a bar (hello!), a dessert station, an omelet station and a station they referred to as the “American” station which was comprised of sweet breads, waffles, eggs, sausage and the like. I forgo all of my diet restrictions and just had at it. I mean, who wouldn’t right? I may or may not have had to be rolled off the yacht from eating so much.

A Rooftop Deck With A View

The Flagship yacht California Spirit was very spacious and offered a rooftop deck for soaking in the gorgeous So Cal sun rays. We also ventured out to the bow where it was very windy and there were less people. There were a few tables and mimosa service on the rooftop deck, so we spent the majority of our outdoor time there…because duh bottomless mimosas!

The Best Way To Spend A Sunday

I can’t recommend the Flagship Cruises and Events champagne Sunday brunch cruise highly enough, it was seriously the absolute best way to spend a Sunday. Prices are Adults: $64.50; Children 4-12yrs: $38.70 (taxes and service charges additional) which is an insanely good deal for the value.
