This sign can be found on the outside wall of the Chino Youth Museum in downtown Chino, California. I took this picture in the summer of 2009 during a visit to the museum. Over the last few weeks I have continuously come across signs of how vastly different my life is today than it was just a few short years ago. Practically having done a 180 degree turn, my life and my self have change almost beyond measure. In 2009 when I came across this sign it inspired me but it also terrified me. I felt ill-equipped at the time to do anything of significance, anything of meaning, anything of value outside the realm of being a mom.
Slowly over the course of the last 5 years, bit by bit I have changed, my attitude has changed, my values have changed and my life has changed. I have my sights set and my goals in order, I have a road map of where I want to go.
It feels empowering to know that I can confidently go in the direction of my dreams.
