LeapFrog Word Whammer Review - The Funny Mom Blog

Fun Learning!

Learning should be fun, interactive and action packed right? For over 20 years LeapFrog has been creating award-winning educational children’s products that excite, engage and inspire children to reach their potential. The team behind LeapFrog knows that children learn best when they’re having fun, and that every child learns differently. With products that are personalized to each child’s level, every child can learn and have fun with LeapFrog toys! That’s comforting to know as a mom too, that a brand has a genuine interest in my children’s education! One of the latest educational products in the extensive LeapFrog line is the LeapFrog word whammer. This interactive toy is packed with a punch of Kindergarten readiness fun. We are members of the LeapFrog Mom Squad and receive products for review purposes, all opinions are my own.

Word Building Skills!

The LeapFrog word whammer focuses on word building for the Kindergarten level (ages 4-6), however my 3 year old loves to play with it as well. He loves twisting and pushing the lever and even if he gets the answer wrong, he still has a great time.

A Fun Challenge!

The word whammer will automatically adjust the curriculum to your child’s level so that your child can be challenged to learn while earning successes in the game along the way. The LeapFrog word whammer consists of 3 animals and a big carnival parade. The animals love the parade and as your child plays games they earn tickets to attend the parade. It’s a great reward-based system that kids love. By pushing the handle and twisting the handle your child will play one of the three animal games.

3 Pet Animals Games!

  • Penguins Teacup Twisters
  • Panda’s Bumper Cars
  • Dragon’s Rocket Ride

Our Experience

My 5 year old daughter is in TK this year and she loves playing the penguins teacup twisters game, the LeapFrog Word Whammer is helping her make the connection between letters and words which is something she really needs help with! Whereas my 3 year old son loves to play with the LeapFrog word whammer for the fun twisting and pushing element of the handle and although he doesn’t always get the answer correct I know that he is learning along the way!
The LeapFrog Word Whammer is a great gift for any child in your life. Log on for more information about the LeapFrog Word Whammer.
