My Wish For You

Just like you, I’ve always wanted the very best for my children. I want my children to grow and develop to be the best versions of themselves that they can be. I want them to be happy and satisfied and joyful and to never lose their sense of wonder and adventure. I want my sons to be nurturing and kind, and I want my daughters to be brave and thoughtful. I feel safe enough to say that parenting isn’t easy (well…DUH) and being a mom of two young daughters is a challenge. There seems to be so much societal pressure to conform to the norm and to be “perfect”. My oldest daughter is a carefree and goofy 8-year-old who would much rather wear a mismatched silly outfit and dig for worms in the yard, and she feels the pressure to act “more mature” from friends. But, I know, and hopefully she knows, that being goofy and having fun is so much more important than being perfectly pretty. My Wish for You is a gorgeous new book that is a love letter to daughters everywhere, encouraging young girls to always be themselves, no matter what the world tells them.

My Wishes For You Are Many

Inspired by lessons she learned while raising her 6-year-old daughter Mae, author and actress extraordinaire Kathryn Hahn, with the energized and gorgeous illustrations from New York Times bestseller Brigette Barrager, wrote My Wish For You to encourage girls of all ages to be who they are by simply being themselves.

You Are Enough

My daughters love it when I read to them, and they love to follow along with My Wish for You. This book is such a timely and necessary message of the importance of being who you are, no matter what the world tells you. My goal for each of my children is for them to value the character traits of: curiosity, strength and vulnerability, and to always live their life on their own terms. Because whatever you are and whatever you choose to be, you are enough.

I Want You to be You

I love, love, love this book and the sincerely sweet and simple morale that it conveys. You will love this book, and you’ll want to read it to your daughters every night!
