Celebrating the halves!
My youngest little funny kid just turned 3 1/2 years old. Around here at The Eaglin household, I like to spoil my kids with an unmeasurable amount of love, attention, a few dozen cookies and oodles of Netflix so that I can get some chores done. I do all of this in an honest attempt to always be their favorite mommy. I mean, sure, I’m their only mommy but a little spoiling never did any harm (right?). In keeping up with royally spoiled children, I like to lather them with extra attention on not only their annual birthdays, but their half birthdays as well. “Why not?”, I say! When the Netflix StreamTeam offered to help me host my youngest daughters 3 1/2 birthday, I jumped at the opportunity. There is nothing we love more than a little extra Netflix love. Celebrate With Your Favorite Characters!
New to Netflix are 15 Netflix Birthday’s on Demand. Similar to the Netflix New Year’s Eve countdowns, the Birthday’s on Demand feature your children (and teens!) favorite characters in cute short clips that help your child feel extra special on their big day without a lot of effort on your part! Because lets be honest with each other – who’s got the time to go over the top on a 1/2 birthday (not me!).
Kids may be the ones wearing the crown on their birthdays, but Netflix knows that it’s parents who are the real heroes on the big day. While many parents admit to feeling social-media fueled pressure to give their kids a huge party (49%), most wish they didn’t have to go Pinterest-crazy to give their kids a good time (71%). Well, happy birthday to you, mom and dad. Today, for the first time ever, Netflix released 15 Birthdays On-Demand, where characters from LEGO Ninjago, Luna Petunia, Beat Bugs and more help make birthday celebrations a piece of cake.

Just searching “birthday” on Netflix will unlock a special performance from kids’ favorite characters, including DreamWorks All Hail King Julien, Barbie, Beat Bugs, DreamWorks Dinotrux, Las Leyendas, LEGO Friends, LEGO Ninjago, Luna Petunia, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug* and Cat Noir, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Pokemon, Project Mc 2 , Skylanders Academy, DreamWorks Trollhunters and Word Party.
For my littliest 3 1/2 birthday we whipped up some Netflix inspired cupcakes and partied with the pony girls in My Little Pony. She was so happy to feel so special on her half birthday. Thank you Netflix!
