There’s a new comedy sitcom in town that’ll be a sure-fire hit. The aptly clever name for a equally clever show: “9JKL” is a family comedy inspired by the time in Mark Feuerstein’s adult life when he lived in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his parents’ apartment, 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law, and their baby’s apartment, 9L. The show follows his hilarious and relateable attempts to set boundaries with his intrusive, but well-meaning family. “9JKL” features an all-star comedy cast such as Mark Feuerstein, Elliott Gould and Linda Lavin just to name a few. We were recently invited to visit the 9JKL set and I’m so excited to share what I learned with all of you, all opinions are our own.

The press and the cast!

The Details!

On the day of our visit we had the opportunity to watch a few scenes being filmed, it was so cool! Being a part of a live audience for such a heartwarming good show is an honor. After lunch, we (the press) had the opportunity to ask the cast a few questions. During the group interview I learned that the sets of the show 9JKL are very close representations to the exact apartments that Mark Feuerstein’s family still live in. Not only that, the candid pictures on the set are real family photos!

I had the opportunity to freely walk around the set of Harry and Judy’s home and I was blown away by the detail and care put into making the set feel authentic. I swear if if wasn’t for all of the lights I wouldn’t even have known it was Hollywood magic!

“Make Thanksgiving Great Again”

There is a brand new and all-hilarious episode airing this Monday November 20th at 9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network . Here’s the rundown of the episode: Josh asks Nick to retrieve Nana Roberts from her nursing home for the family’s Thanksgiving gathering, but when Nick arrives with the wrong nana (played by Lois Smith), the family is forced to deal with a stranger who antagonizes everyone. Also, Judy begins to realize her own critical tendencies, and Andrew prepares for a sexy calendar photo shoot. I can’t wait to watch!!
