How to Find the Tiny Moments of Indulgence as a Mom #SeriouslyIndulgent

November 6, 2017 By Desiree Eaglin

The Land Of Time

Before I had children (what I have come to call the “land of time”) my life primarily revolved around me. I took classes at the local University, worked in the social field, and socialized with a few friends; but, above all else, I had an abundance of time. I had so much time to myself before I had kids, I even…now imagine this…I got bored. Imagine that! Fast forward to almost 11 years, 4 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a thousand education volunteer obligations later, and I no longer have that abundance of time to myself. In fact, I have very little time to myself. Therefore, in an effort to remain somewhat sane, I have found a way to find the tiny moments of indulgence as a mom. A moment here, a minute there can do wonders for my mind and my soul.
This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.

How to Find Those Tiny Moments To Yourself

You may be asking yourself why finding time to myself is so difficult. “Get out and hire a sitter!” you’re thinking. “Leave the kids with their dad!” you’re wondering. “Pop on a movie and go in the other room!” you’re practically yelling. And yes, I do those things; but honestly, sometimes it’s not enough. Sometimes I would like a regular moment in every day that is mine to indulge how I like.

For me, taking a moment or two out of the day for myself in the late afternoon works best. During the school day I jam as many errands, chores, and work obligations in as possible. I have found that setting the school kids up with homework and my toddler up with a coloring project in the late afternoon affords me the opportunity to steal away a few moments for myself. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, I even have the opportunity to read a few chapters of a book.

Tips to finding those tiny moments of indulgence for yourself:

  • Find the time that works best for you
  • Set the kids up with something engaging (like homework!)
  • Grab a indulgent snack, your favorite book, or watch some trashy tv!
  • Don’t feel guilty!

Sweet Indulgence

My favorite way to enjoy time to myself is with a good book, my cat, and a Seriously Indulgent yogurt. I have been a Greek Gods yogurt fan for a long time now, and the new 5.3 oz. Greek Gods Seriously Indulgent yogurt is the perfect dessert size for a moment of quiet indulgence. It is now available at Walmart. There is something so heavenly and creamy about Greek Gods Seriously Indulgent Yogurt that just writing about it now makes my mouth water. Thick, creamy, and definitely fulfilling, Seriously Indulgent yogurt is made with whole milk and cream and offers live/active cultures and calcium. Believe me when I say – it’s seriously delicious and creamy!
