Disney’s The Muppets Most Wanted hits the big screen across the country starting March 21st 2014. In this rated PG sequel to The Muppets (2011) The Muppets Most Wanted casts the entire Muppets gang to set sail on a global song-and-dance tour selling out grand theaters in prestigious worldly places including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. Hilarity and comedy ensues as the unwitting Muppets find themselves tangled up in a grand caper of legendary proportions. I attended an advance screening of The Muppets Most Wanted as well as the Muppets Most Wanted Press Junket, all opinions are my own.
Featuring a star studded cast of Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppets gang, plus thousands of celebrity cameos – The Muppets Most Wanted is chock full of funny and smart talent that makes for a delightfully entertaining film. The Muppets Most Wanted was produced by David Hoberman (“Warm Bodies”, “The Proposal”) and Todd Lieberman (“The Fighter”, “Warm Bodies”) and Written and Directed by James Bobin (“The Muppets”, “Flight of the Conchords”).
The Muppets Most Wanted is a old-style caper movie with plenty of comedy, plenty of caper and plenty of songs that is perfect for audiences of all ages. According to Director James Bobin, a caper of this magnitude needed to be set in an international locale. As Bobin says “If you’re going to do a 60’s-style caper, it needs a world setting and Europe gives it that classic feel. London, Madrid, Berlin and Dublin are the places to go if you’re going to steal great treasures.”

The Muppets Most Wanted brings the entire Muppets Gang that everyone knows and loves together again. Including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Walter, Animal, Beaker, Statler and Waldorf, Gonzo the Great and more of your favorites. Allow me to introduce to you the new characters in The Muppets Most Wanted:
Constantine:
is the World’s #1 criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog. He has a secret plan with Number Two to steal the crown jewels of London.
Dominic Badguy (pronounced “Badgee” it’s French!):
Played by Ricky Gervais aka “Number Two” is a devilish tour manager that convinces the Muppets gang to go on tour.
Nadya:
Played by Tina Fey is a strict and stern Russian prison guard that falls deeply in love with Kermit the Frog while he is imprisoned in the gulag.
Jean Pierre Napoleon and Sam the Eagle:
Jean Pierre Napoleon played by Ty Burrell is an Interpol agent in charge of solving an elaborate crime spree. Sam Eagle, CIA: is assigned to the same case as Jean Pierre Napoleon and at first they are bitter rivals but they end up with a mutual respect for one another.
Disney’s The Muppets Most Wanted is rated PG and is entertaining for audiences of all ages. My kids loved the color, action and music and I loved the comedy, talent and story line. My 3 year old daughter is now obsessed with Kermit the Frog and who can blame her?
