“Mom! I’M HUNGRY”

Keeping food in a house full of growing kids is tough. It seems as if as soon as I go shopping at the grocery store the food disappears before I even have the chance to put it away in the pantry. If you’re a mom like I am, you know the feeling of being eaten out of house and home. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had a craving for something specific only to go to the pantry to find nothing. Nothing. Not a chip, not a cookie not a cracker to save my life. The kids have eaten it all! To save my sanity and to save my budget I have devised a few simple tips to keeping a fully stocked food pantry. Thanks to super sales at Albertson’s I am able to stock my pantry at very little cost.

Albertsons and Banner stores are celebrating their 76th Anniversary with a HUGE sale now until August 11th 2015. During the sale you have the opportunity to fully stock your fridge for back to school! Besides, Albertson’s is my favorite, most kid friendly store to shop at and with unbeatable prices there’s no better place to shop. My daughter loves their bakery and I love the prices of course!

Funny Mom Blog Tips To Keeping A Fully Stocked Pantry:

  1. Go shopping on the weekend without the kids.
Not only is this the perfect opportunity for a little “mom vacation” I am also able to think clearly and buy only what’s on my list. Going to the grocery store with all 4 of my kids in tow is a emergency situation only.
  2. Shop the Sales
Albertson’s 76th Anniversary sale is rockin and makes it super cost effective to buy a lot for little money.
  3. Buy lots of protein
While shopping at Albertson’s, keep in mind that snacks high in protein stave off hungry children longer than other types of snacks. I regularly purchase nuts and whole grain type snacks.
  4. Buy lots of tasty stuff too…but hide it in the back of the pantry
I mean, tasty stuff tastes better but it gets eaten the fastest amiright? I hide my fav snacks in the back where little hands can’t reach them.
  5. Buy a large variety of snacks and staples.
I think my kids inherited my husbands insatiable need for food variety, but I’ve also found that my pantry food seems to remain more stocked when there’s a larger variety to choose from.

Keeping a fully stocked fridge is a lot less stressful with great sales like Albertson’s Anniversary sale. Besides, Doritos are my favorite chips to serve at parties and I love having a whole bunch of them in my pantry.
