“Nothing can prepare you for the love you’ll feel towards your child“. When I was pregnant, I heard this expression over and over again. However, it wasn’t until my first child was born that I felt that heart swelling, unconditional feeling of pure love for the very first time. It was magical, it was spiritual and it was overwhelming. All of a sudden I loved something on this Earth so much that I would do anything, anytime for it. The love I have for each of my children has the ability to overcome and survive through any difficulties, it’s true that no matter how stinky they are acting, no matter how much I would rather quit this hard mom gig and have a day off, my love never wavers and I never give up. The unconditional love between a mother and a child is simply, apologetically magical.
My appreciation for my own mother grew once I had my own child. What I once took for granted as something mother’s were just supposed to do, I now understood how much everything it takes to not only love a child so much it hurts, but also to prepare them for adulthood where we eventually have to let them go. Motherhood truly is the most beautiful and most difficult job there is.

When I first heard the new single “Mom” by Garth Brooks my heart stopped. It’s easy for me to express my love for my children, expressing my love almost comes second nature, however hearing the perspective of the unborn child as God prepares them to meet their mom is a perspective and a feeling I had not experienced before. The song “Mom” is a remarkably beautiful tribute to all moms, and it is truly breathtaking. Here is an extended sample of Mom by Garth Brooks, I would love for you to listen to it.
Growing up, my mom was and still is, a huge country music fan and Garth Brooks is one of her all time favorites. I grew up listening to his music, dancing to it in the car, humming to it while I played and now, the song “Mom” will be a song my children will grow up listening to, dancing to it in the car, humming it while they play.
