Taking A Soup-er Break Just For Me!

February 15, 2018 By Desiree Eaglin

Thank you Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups for sponsoring this post. Treat your SOUP-er significant other (or yourself!) to a delicious meal!

The craziest of weeks require the greatest of self care

You know those weeks…those weeks where nothing seems to go right and everything and everyone is a mess. The kinds of weeks where the world seems against you and every kid has some elaborate project due for school and you can’t seem to find the time to do them, let alone the thousands of chores and errands you already have. The kinds of weeks where your kids are sick or whining or tired (or worse yet: all three!) and you can’t seem to catch a break. I know you know those weeks because boy-o-boy do I know those weeks well. I have learned through my years of motherhood that in order to combat those kinds of weeks without going insane, the best thing to do is take a moment or two out of the day just for my soup-er self. Whether I have the opportunity to get a mani/pedi, read a good book or best yet – enjoy a warm, tummy filling meal by myself I know that taking a little time out for me is imperative to my health and well being.

Give Yourself A Soup-er Break, You’ll thank me

When things get really tough I know it seems almost unimaginable to take a few moments of time just for yourself. Believe me, I understand. However, trust me when I say that taking a brain break, no matter how short or how small is just like refilling your empty energy tank. When I am feeling low or overworked I like to put my favorite Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups broccoli cheese potato soup in a mug (which makes it easier to carry) and enjoy it on the back patio. Sometimes I enjoy it while the kids play outside on their bikes and sometimes I’m able to enjoy it all alone. Taking this moment to my soup-er self makes me feel energized and ready to tackle anything that is thrown at me!

The Powerhouse

When I pair Idahoan Potato Broccoli Cheese soup with a simple kale salad and a slice of whole-wheat bread it’s almost like my brain is ready to explode with nutrients! The powerhouse of flavor is only made better because Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups give you the flavorful, slow-cooked taste of restaurant-quality soup at home, in just five minutes. With crazy, amazingly delicious varieties such as Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Broccoli and Cheddar Potato, Idahoan Steakhouse Soups bring together real, red Idaho® potatoes with flavorful seasonings and rich cheeses to provide a creamy taste in every spoonful – all you have to do is add water. Since it only takes 5 minutes to prepare, that makes mealtimes so easy!

Take Your Soup-er Soup, To Go!

I like to serve my favorite Idahoan Steakhouse Soups in an oversized mug. It’s easier to carry, looks really cool and the perfect size for a hearty meal. Plus, it fits perfectly in my hands!

Have a soup-er day!
