Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Giveaway

A Season Of Giving, A Season Of Joy

It’s my favorite time of year, I love the holidays, most especially Christmas. I love the joy of the season and the feeling of giving. The events and activities leading up to my favorite day of the year are the most joyous for me. The season brings a genuine merriment and joy to me and my family. It is no wonder that one of my favorite holiday activities is taking my children to the Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Train – where magic, beauty, genuine family wholesomeness and merriment combine to create a one of a kind experience. It’s these special experiences that I hope my children carry with them throughout their lives.

The Best Saint Nick In So Cal

The Annual Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Train isn’t just about visiting the best Saint Nick in Orange County, families can also decorate giant cookies, drink warm hot chocolate, play carnival games, listen to stories read by Mrs. Claus and so much more all while being surrounded by thousands of twinkly, picturesque lights. A visit to the Irvine Park Railroad during Christmastime is a fully immersive, gorgeous experience that you have to see for yourself.

A trip to see Santa via the “Polar Express” drops families off at the “North Pole”, where you can snack on freshly popped popcorn, hot chocolate, coffee, hot pretzels and cookies from the Elf House Snack Bar. You may take your own pictures with Santa or you may purchase a picture taken by Irvine Park Railroad. Each 5” x 7” photo will be presented with an Irvine Park Railroad border and available for pickup shortly after being taken.

After visiting with Santa, hop back aboard the train and enjoy the colorful Christmas lights and decorations, as well as the magical “Tunnel of Lights”, on the ride back to the station.

Make sure you dress warmly, it gets cold at the North Pole!

A Fully Immersive Christmas Experience Enhanced With Fir

Adding to the entire Christmas experience this year is the inaugural Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Tree Ranch. Now families can round out their wholesome family Christmas experience by strapping a plush Christmas tree to the roof of the car before heading home. I cannot even express how happy this makes me. The Irvine Park Railroad holds a special place in my heart and the addition to a Christmas Tree Ranch gets me all squeeeeeeeeeish inside.

Beginning the day after Thanksgiving, families will be able to purchase Christmas trees at Irvine Park Railroad. Visitors will be able to choose from among Douglas fir, Noble fir, and Grand fir trees ranging in height from 4′ to 12′. Christmas tree stands, preservatives, tree disposal bags, wreaths, and garland will also be available for sale. Christmas trees are individually priced; all trees contain a tag with the cost for that tree.

The Christmas Tree Ranch is open daily at 10:00 am beginning Friday, November 28th through Tuesday, December 23rd. Families can walk the Christmas Tree Ranch to find their perfect Christmas tree. Irvine Park Railroad staff will help you load your Christmas Tree into or on top of your car.

I’m torn between “favorites” – I love the family gathering for a family homemade meal at Thanksgiving (I really love homemade mashed potatoes and the gravy the best 😉 )AND I love the season of Christmas, what it represents – The birth of Jesus, the family traditions, Xmas eve sunsets, the joy of finding that “perfect” gift and seeing the joy on the recipient’s face, the giggles, the love, a box of See’s Candy, and of course seeing Santa via taking the Polar Express at Irvine Park Railroad !

Christmas is my favorite, for a variety of reasons. Not the presents, but the presence (of love and family). Hoping this Christmas will be better than the last couple of years, and a little family adventure would help accomplish that. =)
