The flowers are blooming, the weather is perfect and it’s time for the annual Irvine Park Railroad Easter EGGstravaganza! We love going to the Irvine Park Railroad any time of the year, but there is something so sweet about the spring. We’re looking forward to going this year as a family of 6! I’m still on the hunt for the perfect matching Easter dresses for my girls to wear and I already have my boys outfits they’re going to match and I cannot wait! There is so much family fun to be had at the Irvine Park Railroad and Irvine Regional Park and I am so pleased to offer you guys not one chance to win an amazing prize pack – but two!
The 8th Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza is open daily Saturday, March 14th – Saturday, April 4th from 10am-6pm. Tickets are $5 each a book of 15 tickets can be purchased for $60.

My kids all time fav, the Easter egg hunt at the Irvine Park Railroad Easter EGGstravaganza is a super fun egg hunt for eggs filled with candy, stickers and free train tickets. Children are separated by age group for each Easter egg hunt and each hunt has a participate limit so that everyone participating has plenty of eggs to find. Children may bring their own Easter basket or Irvine Park Railroad will offer Easter baskets available for purchase. Plan to arrive early for the Easter egg hunt because sometimes the time slots sell out!
Meet the Easter Bunny
$10.00 per visit
Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
For the cost of $10.00, children can meet and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. This includes one complimentary Irvine Park Railroad photo. Each additional print of the same photo is $6.00. Photos will be printed in a few, short minutes right at the booth.
Train Rides

Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Enjoy 12-minute ride through historic Irvine Regional Park, you’ll ride alongside the lake, historic oak trees and you may even spot a few wild peacocks! The engineer will narrate the train ride and point out areas of interest inside of the park, sit towards the back if you’d like to hear what he has to say.
Easter Moon Bounce

Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Children can enjoy 10 minutes of jump time in the bounce house. This is an activity children of all ages enjoy as they tumble, jump, and hippity hop with excitement.
Hay Ride
1 Ticket per Person
Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The hay ride is my favorite activity during the Irvine Park Railroad Easter EGGstravaganza because the weather is always perfect for a 15 minute peaceful ride through the park. We usually leave this activity for the very last before heading home.
Easter Cookie Decorating

Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
No trip to a Irvine Park Railroad event is complete without a stop at the cookie decorating booth, the giant homemade cookies are super delicious and my kids always have the best time decorating them. There is colorful sugar frosting, sprinkles and other goodies to decorate a giant sugar cookie, but don’t worry you can take it home to enjoy later.

Concession type food (hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, popcorn, soft pretzels etc) is available at the snack shack right next to the Train Station. One of our favorite things to do is picnic near the lake to watch the ducks swim by.
Picture Stands

Use your own camera and take pictures at one of the many Irvine Park Railroad picture stands located throughout Locomotive Loop. Pictures are sure to create lasting memories of family and friends this Easter season.
Carnival Games

With 1 ticket, children can try their luck at two carnival-style Easter games. That’s a lot of fun AND every child wins a prize!
Face Painting

My oldest daughter favorite activity during any Irvine Park Railroad event, the face painting is a must! A skilled face painter will turn your child’s face into something creative and fun ! They can get a bunny rabbit, chick, Easter egg, or other imaginative expression of Easter time.

We spend every Easter holiday with my parents in Orange County and always take my kids to the Irvine Park RR. They love the train and the pony rides.
