50 Years of Pucker Power
Can you believe it? The iconic sweet & sour pucker power juiciness of Lemonheads candy have been around for over 50 years! Created by Ferrara Candy Company since 1962, the classic Lemonhead candies are a zesty candy treat consisting of a sweet coating, soft sour candy shell and a hard candy core.
Today, we can enjoy Lemonhead candies in different flavors and textures! Lemonhead candies come in chewy (my fav!!) textures and in different flavors such as tropical, apple, berry and more. To celebrate Lemonhead’s 50 years of sweety sourness, the Lemonhead packaging got a fresh makeover and the Lemonhead family have welcomed the Lemonhead gummies to the bunch!
Funny Fact: The Lemonhead candy has a “mascot” of sorts – a normal guy with a lemon for a head, doll eyes and a patch of brown hair on top of his lemon head. He is on most media channels and regularly posts pictures of himself (and his dog).
I have loved Lemonhead candies ever since I was a kid. Going trick or treating as a kid just wasn’t the same without getting a treat sized box or two of Lemonhead sour candies, they were always a welcomed change from the chocolate overload. I love that different flavored chewy Lemonhead candies are available now too. My husband loves the berry chewy Lemonheads the most. My husband also loves it when I send him dorky pictures of myself throughout the day. Like this one:

I used to buy the BIG jug of Lemonheads and Atomic Fire Balls for my son’s baseball team. They would go through them like candy! HA HA, I crack myself up!
Fruit Stripe Gum! My grandpa was a barber and he always gave away packs of gum whenever kids got their hair cut, and he would give me packs of gum too. Fruit Stripe is the kind I always picked.
