It was a brisk night in LA as I headed into Beverly Hills dressed in my best with my hair coiffed and a touch of lipstick – all done for the first time in almost a year. It’s easy to say that I was eagerly anticipating the annual MomsLA holiday party, seeing as how I don’t get out much – a fancy night out on the town was way overdue.
The 2014 MomsLA holiday party was held at the swanky Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills in a private room adjacent of the Riviera 31 Lounge. The signature cocktail of the evening was moonshine from the STILLHOUSE Spirits Co. I may or may not have had two of them purely so I could tell people I drank moonshine. There was also tasty tray passed appetizers and a platter full of sweet treats from Hotcakes Bakes. I may or may not have had two of them purely because I had two glasses of moonshine.
Besides the ultimately fabulous company of the finest fellow MomsLA #MomsLAHolidays bloggers, we had a fun activity to play with thanks to the HotPoint App Photo Booth. Not even launched yet, the HotPoint App will tell you all the haps in the local scene so you’ll know exactly where to go (or where to avoid too I guess). This fun photo booth is what prompted the night of one-thousand selfies. I have to say, that I’m definitely not one to take a bunch of selfies but in between the ambiance of the Sofitel, being surrounded by friends and the two glasses of moonshine – I got in to taking selfies. And it was phuking fun. Sure, sure it’s not nearly one-thousand selfies, but any selfie is a lot to me.
