Back To School!

It’s finally back to school time! I love the back to school season. There is something so exciting about picking out a new backpack, new school supplies and new clothes to me. It’s like an opportunity to reinvent yourself every summer. Now that I have THREE kids heading to school this Fall, I’ve learned a thing or two about stretching the dollar along the way. I’ve learned that shopping for great deals on quality clothes makes all the difference! OshKosh b’gosh is seriously my favorite kids clothing store and we shop there at the beginning of every season. The clothes are such great quality that I am able to pass them down to the little kids. I mean, we still have pieces that my oldest wore over 8 years ago that still look nearly brand new. Now we’re about to head Oshkosh bgosh back to school in style!

Cool California Style

If I had to describe my kids sense of fashion it would be “cool California style”. Where the clothing is not too fussy, easy to wear and even easier to clean. We go easy on prints and graphics, I tend to purchase pieces that are timeless, classic and versatile.  If I had to describe the clothing style at OshKosh b’gosh it would be just that: easy to wear pieces that aren’t too fussy, they’re timeless and classic, totally versatile and made of high quality materials. It’s a match made in kids fashion heaven.

Bringing Back the Style!

Last year my kids attended a school that required uniforms. They hated it. They hated not having the ability to express themselves through fashion. I hated having to argue and force them to wear the same colors every day. My 5 year old daughter missed wearing dresses and skirts. Now that they’re both going to a new school across town this year, their new school doesn’t require uniforms. Hallelujah! That means we had the opportunity to go fun back to school shopping and bring back the style at OshKosh b’gosh!

Versatile THIS

For our most recent back to school shopping spree at OshKosh b’gosh I focused on purchasing versatile pieces. Purchasing high quality versatile pieces is a mom on a budgets best friend. That way you’ll have pieces that will last ages and have the ability to be passed down to younger siblings. Anytime I can save a dollar or two by passing clothing down from my older kids to my younger kids, I love it. Best yet: OshKosh b’gosh clothing is high quality, versatile and totally affordable!

Versatile Scallops 

There were many, many, many, thousands of many pieces I loved at OshKosh b’gosh during our recent shopping trip. However, I fell most in love with the sweet little Scalloped Eyelet Top. The little scalloped hem had me at hello. I chose to make this piece my centerpiece and find coordinating pieces to go with it.

The Girlfriends

The second piece that caught my eye were these adorable Rip-&-Repair Girlfriend Jeans. I loved the patched up knee detail. So sweet right? I also love that the versatile Scalloped Eyelet Top allows the jeans to shine.

Sweater Weather?

I love this Drop Shoulder Love Sweater. Of course it’s way to hot in So Cal to even think about wearing sweater right now. But before you know it I’ll be sweater season and this one will be perfect. When topped over the Scalloped Eyelet Top, it’s an adorable combination.

Skorts For Days

Last, but certainly not least is the Printed Wraparound Skort. Although, on clearance and probably not available everywhere I still want to feature this sweet little piece. OshKosh b’gosh always has killer clearance available in their stores and when you’ve got a versatile top like the Scalloped Eyelet Top you can pick up a few clearance pieces or two.
