Spring Is Here And It’s Time For Fun!

The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming which are all signs that Spring is in the air and that means Spring Break from schools across the nation are just around the corner! This Spring Break my children are getting an extra special treat because my mom is travelling out from Oklahoma to visit us. We are beyond excited to spend our Spring Break with her and we have many, many fun things planned. I am hoping that we’ll be able to squeeze in a little staycation with my mom when she is out here and take a trip to a beach bed and breakfast. But as you know, travelling with kids can meet a multitude of suitcases and bags to carry all of their stuff! That’s why I have become an advocate for the roll method for kids clothing! Rolling clothes creates more space and by choosing just a few key OshKosh B’Gosh quality pieces I can pack light with kids for Spring Break!

I am a huge fan of kids fashion, and since I have four kids I have learned that buying quality over quantity makes all the difference in being able to hand down great pieces to my younger children. Rough & Tumble – But Still Cute!

My kids, most especially my daughters are a unique blend of rough on their clothing but I still want them to look their best at all time. That means we need cute quality clothing that can take a rough tumble in the grass. One minute my oldest daughter will be collecting roly polys out of the grass and the next she’ll be painting her nails and I adore that about her! And of course my two boys are rough and tumble boys at all times. I adore collared shirts on both of them, but most especially my youngest son.

Spring Break FUN!

This Spring Break we’ll be doing all sorts of fun things while my mom is in town. She’d like to go down to San Diego for the day to see the Flower Fields and shop at SeaPort Village, she’ll also be taking my oldest to a Ducks game, we may pop into Knotts for a day of Spring fun and so much more! I know that my kids will be dressed perfectly for the weather thanks to our recent stop into OshKosh B’gosh too!

Funny Mom Blog Packing Light With Kids For Spring Break Tips

Packing for the family and getting out the door is challenging for even the most organized parents. Travelling with kids can mean taking a lot of stuff…but it doesn’t have to. With these great tips, you’ll be able to travel lighter!

  • Choose 2 or 3 great versatile bottom pieces per child for every 7-10 days you’re travelling. Having versatile bottoms that can go with anything is key!
  • Choose clothing pieces that will match your travel destination. If you don’t need ski jackets, don’t bring them!
  • Choose 3-5 great tops per child for every 7 days you’re travelling. Keeping in mind that children are messy.
  • Designate one suitcase just to kids clothing.
  • Have each child bring a small backpack of their own toys and loveys of their choice – no need to leave home without their favorite loveys!
  • Use the rolling pack method! It saves a ton of space. I created a how-to roll video too! Check it out!
