How to make a Santa Face Pie - The Funny Mom Blog

Have I told you that I love the holidays yet? Well, I have a serious love of all of the holidays but most especially of Christmas. I jump whenever I have the opportunity to be creative and crafty in the kitchen to create fun and cute recipes that I know my children will get a kick out of. My most recent recipe of this budget friendly, no bake Santa face pie is seriously adorable and seriously easy. It’s so easy in fact, that you can let your kids make it on their own!

Santa Face Pie

Ingredients:
1 Box Jell-o Vanilla Instant Pudding
1 Ready Made Pie Crust
4 Large Jet-Puffed Marshmallows (halved)
10 Small Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
1 Cup BAKER’S Angel Flake Coconut
1/2 Cup of Fresh Strawberries (halved)
Pomegranate seeds and raspberries
2 Raisins

Directions:

Make Jell-o vanilla instant pudding according to package directions (it’s SO easy!). Pour 3/4 of pudding into ready made pie crust. Keep 1/4 of pudding in bowl. Cover the ready made pie crust and pudding and let cool in refrigerator to set while you prepare your fresh fruit.
Mix two drops of red food coloring with the 1/4 pudding that was left in the bowl to create Santa’s face color and mix thoroughly. Slice strawberries in half and cut one strawberry into a crescent shape for Santa’s mouth.
Take pudding pie out of refrigerator and cover with a thin layer of the pink dyed pudding (this will serve as Santa’s skin tone).
Place sliced strawberries on top 1/3 of pudding pie, sprinkle raspberries and pomegranate seeds on top of strawberries if desired (I liked the different shades of red!).
Place 6 halved large Jet-Puffed Marshmallows just below strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate seeds to finish off Santa’s hat. And one on the right side to serve as Santa’s cotton ball on the end of his hat.
Place Bakers Angel Flake Coconut on bottom 1/4 of pudding pie as Santa’s beard.
Place 8 small Jet-Puffed marshmallows above the coconut as Santa’s beard in a slightly curved position.
Place the crescent shaped strawberry on top of coconut as Santa’s mouth.
Place two Jet-Puffed Strawberries as Santa’s eyes and lastly place two raisins on top of marshmallows.

Enjoy!

How-to-make-santa-face-pie

I cannot express enough how fun and how easy this adorable no bake Santa face pie was to make. From start to finish it took less than 10 minutes. It would be the perfect addition to any holiday gathering! Of course when it comes time to pick up everything that I need on a budget to bake I always stop at my local Walmart. And during the holidays, Walmart understands that we’re busy moms. So they’ve created a convenient holiday bake center right in the middle aisle so that you can quickly pick up the Kraft ingredients you need to create a Santa face pie!
