It seems not that long ago that I was very particular about the way our family Christmas tree was decorated. I made sure only the prettiest ornaments were hung, my husbands lame sports ornaments were hidden before he had the chance to even remember we had any. I spaced out the ornaments for an “even looking tree”. I laid the lights perfectly on the branches. I adorned the tree with ribbons.
This year I let the kids decorate it. And it was so much more fun. And the tree looks so much better now than it ever has before. My oldest made sure his handmade picture ornaments were front and center.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

That sounds way easier that me doing it alone. The kids and Stewart helped for a little while, but mostly me!
Cute! I did the same thing. The only thing I try to control during the tree decorating now is that the fragile ornaments are at the top.
