We only have 4 weeks left of summer before the daily grind of school starts back up again. This year my oldest will be in 1st grade… 1st grade aahhhhh!! And I am currently arming myself against with the what I like to call the “hungryboyitis” by stocking my cupboards and freezer with healthy, quick and easy meals to feed him to meet his growing “hungryboyitis” needs. That child can EAT.

What I like, and I’ve said it ten thousand times to you all – are easy, healthy meals with very few ingredients. I like healthy food brands I can trust, I like fresh fruit and vegetables and above all else, I like quickly made meals. I believe that we shouldn’t have to compromise healthy foods for quickness. Brands like Tyson provide the ease and quickness I most desire, without the unhealthy additives. Tyson chicken is made of 100% all natural ingredients, are made with white meat and have 0g trans fat per serving.

I feel good about feeding my son’s “hungryboyitis” these super easy, super tasty Tyson Chicken Sandwiches. They are so easy to make, I can whip one up for him right after school when he will be the hungriest after a full school day’s worth of work. Or I will make him one before his weekly baseball games and practices too. Or I can whip one up just to whip one up anytime of the day!

Tyson Chicken Patty Sandwich Recipe

How do you make these yummy Tyson chicken sandwiches you ask? It’s so easy, you’re laughin’!

Directions:
Cook the chicken patties according to the package directions
Toast the bun
Add your favorite toppings – Toppings make the world go round!
Eat and Enjoy of course!

One trick I have for creating nutritional, quick and easy meals is by always keeping fresh vegetables in stock. Steaming broccoli can be done within just a few minutes and adds even more nutrition and flavor to any meal.   My kitchen “in stock” veggies include: Tomatoes, lettuce, onions, broccoli, carrots and green beans.

Tyson’s Back to School Project A+ Program

tyson chicken back to school A+ program, chicken man, chicken in an apron, Did you know that Tyson cares about our children’s education and schools? It’s true! If you eat Tyson products from your grocer’s freezer section, you can help your local school earn money! Tyson’s Back to School Project A+ Program is a national fund-raising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. Each Tyson Project A+ label, found on the front of the package is worth 24¢ and can be found on over 30 Tyson products. Schools earn money from Tyson by collecting and redeeming the labels. Participating schools can earn up to $12,000 per academic year, and there are no restrictions on how the funds are used. Your local school can use the money for anything they need from field trips, computer equipment, sports gear, library books or anything else they need or want!

Signing up your local school for the Project A+ Program is easy, I was able to sign up my son’s school in under 5 minutes. The registration process required basic information about the school, such as phone number and address. Tyson’s Back to School Project A+ Program is so easy and genuinely awesome I absolutely urge you to not only sign up your school but advocate for your school officials to push the students and parents to actively use the program as well. Unlike other label collecting programs, The Project A+ Program offers 24¢ per label and up to $12k per year. That’s a lot of money!

That chicken sandwich looks so good! I love the Tyson A+ program, and appreciate Safeway giving back to our schools–another reason to love both companies!
