The Fodada Dad and Me campaign – because the best gift a dad can give children is time

July 11, 2014 By Desiree Eaglin

This is a sponsored post on behalf of fodada, all opinions are my own.

fodada, the popular men, women and children’s clothing line specializing in comfortable and stylish clothing for the cool dad (and mom and kid) in your life knows that the best gift a dad can give his children is time. That is why fodada has designed the “Dad and Me” campaign in hopes to promote and encourage quality time between dad and kids.

fodada Dad and Me campaign

fodada was created by Bobby Barzi – a devoted dad of two boys. Bobby created fodada out of love and a passionate commitment to fatherhood and to the special relationship between father and child. In regards to the unique name “fodada” Bobby Barzi says:

The name fodada comes from my son, Pierce. When he was just learning to speak he would bring me anything his chubby little hands could pick up. With a big drooly smile he would say “fo dada.” This became our little saying. a few years later when I decided I need to celebrate my journey on a larger scale, I asked him “Pierce, daddy’s going to start a company to celebrate dads, what do you think we should call it?” his first response…”fodada.”

fodada's dad and me campaign because the most important thing a dad can give is time

The Dad and Me campaign is simple

1. Kids: Download a commitment letter from the fodada website, sign it and give it to your dads.

2. Dads: Sign the commitment letter and pledge to spend three, one-hour blocks of time per month doing things together that are totally fun and silly, educational, and active and outdoors. It’s not a gimmick but rather an investment in your relationship that we hope will create habits that promote dad-and-child interaction and engagement.

fodada will recognize dads who sign the pledge by sending them a specially design t-shirt from their collection. All they need to do is send a photo of them and their child/children holding up the signed commitment letter or a picture of a dad and me moment, along with the completed form, todadandme@fodadawear.com. fodada will send a free tee to dad as his badge of honor for his commitment.

Dad and Me campaign submissions

Above all else, the fodada “Dad and Me’ campaign is more than just a gimmick – it’s a genuine crusade to promote healthy father and child relationships. Did you know that preschoolers with actively involved fathers have stronger verbals skills? Perhaps that’s why my 4 year old daughter can tell me her grienvences in 1,001 ways haha. A father’s active involvement in his children encourages children’s exploration of the world around them and confidence in their ability to problem solve. You go dads! The “Dad and Me” campaign is a start of a revolution that is promising to sweep the country little by little to spread how great dads are.

fodada is a premium casual clothing line worn by Hollywood dads such as Hugh Jackman, Ryan Phillippe and Orlando Bloom (hubba, hubba and hubba hubba). Head to fodada online for more information about fodada and to purchase your own fodada.

My dad is an amazing all around guy. He’s smart, funny, quiet and very humble. He’s my hero. He fought in Vietnam and has since then shown nothing but strength and still carried on despite everything he saw and experienced over there.

My husband works out of state and is only home on weekends or every other weekend but he is still the most involved, loving dad I know. Every Friday that he is home he takes our 3 children to our local mall where our son plays Magic and he takes our 2 little girls shopping (which gives me the only alone time I get!). He makes sure to do the dishes and grocery shopping, scrubs toilets and does laundry whenever he’s home too. He works as a Lineman and his job is very physically demanding, plus he drives 15-25 hours round trip, depending on where he’s working, but that doesn’t stop him from being the best dad ever. He practices baseball with our son, plays Barbies and Bratz with our girls, chases them around the yard playing Bubble Monster and climbs trees playing Hide n Seek. He’s a big kid at heart and so loving and faithful. When he’s not home he talks to the kids multiple times a day helping them our oldest with his homework and listening to the girls talk about their day and babble (our 16 month old is the babbler! lol) He absolutely completes our family <3 <3
