The 2014 Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Traditions

Last Saturday my family and I went to the 2014 opening day of the Irvine Park Railroad pumpkin patch. We have been exclusively going to the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch since 2007, going is my most favorite Fall season tradition. The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch has grown and changed a whole bunch over the last 8 years. It has honestly been amazing to watch the park’s transformation through the years as much as it has been watching my own family change. We started going in the  year 2007 when we had once weensy, perfect, easy child and now we have a whole, messy, loud herd of children haha. I love that my children will have a childhood full of Irvine Park Railroad memories. We were invited as members of the media, all opinions are my own.

What’s new for 2014?

In 2007-the very first year that we went to the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch there was one jumper, one carnival game, the hay ride, the train ride, face painting and food concessions and that was it. Over the years they have added on a haunted house, gold mining, tractor racing, more jumpers, more carnival games, a hay maze and more. There is so much to do at the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch you can spend the whole day there and play!

New to the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch in 2014:

  •  Pumpkin stem ring toss – Where every player wins a prize! (1 ticket each player)
  • A hay stack to climb on – soooo fun! (Free!)
  • Remodeled and upgraded mine train tunnel – it looks so much better now

It’s All About The Pumpkins

We visit the Irvine Park Railroad for every holiday: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, most birthdays and lots of random days in between but I think my kids like going for the Pumpkin Patch the best too. My oldest son loves doing the gold mining (he swears it’s real gold), my daughter loves riding the train, my youngest son loves walking around and the baby, well the baby just likes being a baby right now. Thank you to the Irvine Park Railroad team for inviting us to enjoy another family memory making opportunity, we loved it.

The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is THE BEST place to get the best pictures. There is something really amazing about the lighting that you’ll get the softest glow. I got some good ones of my kids this year. Check it out:
