Islands Summertime Happy Hour

Islands Restaurant has been offering casual dining in a tropical island setting since 1982. Founded by Tony DeGrazier right here in sunny So Cal, Islands fine burgers & drinks now has over 50 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. Dining at Islands is a like taking a mini vacation to a colorful, eclectic and flavorful tropical island. Most widely well known for their tasty burgers and made-fresh-daily french fries, Islands fine burgers & drinks also serves up some other delightful menu items such as tacos, salads, wraps and more. I was recently invited to taste Islands new Summertime Happy Hour menu items, all opinions are my own.

I took my 3 year old daughter along with me to the tasting as my date. She loves Islands fine burgers & drinks and asks to go there quite often. She is always memorized by the decorations inside the restaurant like the string lights and bird statues, I appreciate the kid friendliness of Islands along with the yummy food and fair prices.

While dining we had the opportunity to meet the Corona Islands manager, he was sincerely the nicest guy and made us feel very welcome. My daughter and I tasted a few of the Summertime Happy Hour menu items such as the Hawaiian Sliders, Cheddar Fries and I had the Mai Tai and Spicy Mango Shandy. We also ordered the kid classic favorite Lil’ Tiki Tenders and apple juice.

The new and made-for-summer menu offers stress relief Monday through Friday 3-7pm & Sunday through Thursday 9pm-Close in the bar.

My favorite item from the Summertime Happy Hour menu was the Spicy Mango Shandy. Served in a frosted beer mug, the Spicy Mango Shandy was sweet with a hint of spicy from the cayenne pepper and quite refreshing. The Hawaiian Sliders were also pretty tasty with the grilled pineapple and onions. And of course missy loved her Lil’ Tiki Tenders.
