The first picture was taken in Yosemite National Park, right next to the Ahwahnee hotel. My then boyfriend took me up for a small vacation to stay with his family for Thanksgiving. We toured the Ahwahnee and grounds and I took a shot of this tree with my 35mm film camera. I was annoyed that the little girl ran in front of my shot until I developed the film.
This second picture was taken almost 10 years later during a trip up to the same family but this time with just my oldest son and I. He was an only child, a very easy only child and I took the drive up to Mariposa alone (I could not and would not do the same now with 3 kdis). This is my husbands families driveaway. It’s my favorite picture of all time.
