It was a WILD Night at the ZOOTOPIA Red Carpet “Fur”miere

NOW BOARDING ZOOTOPIA TRANSIT AUTHORITY

Walt Disney Animation Studios pulled out all the stops for the Hollywood premiere of Zootopia on February 17th 2016. Held at the historic El Capitan Theatre, the red carpet was transformed into what appeared to be a giant public transportation bus and the destination was none other than the city of Zootopia. The newest Disney Animation Studios film is set to be unleashed on theaters nationwide on March 4th, 2016. We had the opportunity to attend the Zootopia red carpet premiere and we were jumping out of our animal skins ecstatic to attend, all opinions are our own.

It’s us being all HAPPY!

NEXT STOP: ZOOTOPIA

It was a chilly evening with rain downpours somewhat random for the city of Los Angeles, however and most thankfully the red carpet was covered by giant tents. As it turned out, most of the actual red carpet was a bit of a sloppy swamp! Funny enough, the swampy mess we had to slop through kind of fit the wild theme of the film. I loved every minute of the experience and I was totally fan girl excited to see the throngs of celebrities, from Disney stars to the entire cast and crew of Zootopia it was truly a wild sight to behold.

A Wild Night, Indeed.

I had the opportunity to bring along a guest to the Zootopia premiere and I chose to bring my oldest son! I knew he would love the film and be able to handle the excitement on a school night, I mean, after all he does have a few red carpet experiences under his belt (HAHA…lucky kid). After we took several hundred selfies on the red carpet we headed into the El Capitan theatre to grab our complimentary refreshments and salty popcorn before heading to find our seats. One of the best things about watching a film at the El Capitan is having the opportunity to watch Rob Richards – the El Capitan Theatre’s house organist play several songs and infamous Disney melodies on the spectacular 4/37 Wurlitzer. We always get a kick out of watching him disappear into the ground when it’s time for the film to begin!

Animal Anticipation!

I have been anticipating Zootopia ever since attending the long-lead press day in October of 2015. My oldest daughter and I had the crazy cool opportunity to view a long preview of Zootopia at Disneyland’s California Adventure theme park – it was a really cool interactive experience that you must try! It is open to the public and free (with admission of course). I adore animated movies, probably even more than my kids do and I had never been so excited to go to a red carpet premiere before…just to see the film!

My Expectations Were Met!

Inspired by innovation and inspiration, Walt Disney Animation’s newest film “ZOOTOPIA” harkens back to Disney Animations renaissance of great talking animal films. Set to be released on March 4, 2016, Zootopia will take audiences to a world that we’ve never seen be-fur in the animal-centered and animal created world of Zootopia. I loved the film and laughed the whole way through it. With a great moral, a beautiful landscape of real-life textures and colors Zootopia is bound to be one of the best animated films of 2016. I love the direction that Walt Disney Animation Studios is going – with realistic animated textures and big, beautiful stories and I simply cannot wait to see what’s in store for future films.

The After Party Was Even Wilder!

The Zootopia premiere after party was held at The Annex inside the Hollywood and Highland Center. Of course it was still pouring rain when it was time to head over and through the rain drops and puddles I realized Heather McDonald from the Chelsea Late show! The Zootopia after party was perfect for kids with tons of activities such as doughnut decorating, face painting, picture ops, hat making, and Disney Interactive was even on hand with Zootopia Disney Infinity characters. Best yet there was even a real life fox, bunny and sloth to see! We squealed in delight at the amazing entertainment Walt Disney Animation Studios provided! My son and I had a blast eating gourmet food, taking pictures, making doughnuts, staring at Lola the sloth and having the time of our lives, I only hope this takes me to cool mom status! As I  mentioned earlier, I officially earned my fan girl status (still working on the cool mom status) during the Zootopia red carpet premiere, I was freaking out over seeing Pete Wentz and Chuck Liddell – I only wish I could have seen Kristen Bell and John Lasseter in person!!

Zootopia will stomp through theaters nationwide March 4th, 2016!
